This stop error means that your ntfs file system is corrupt (damage in the file system, bad hard drive data, corrupt SCSI or IDE drivers or a corrupt ntfs.sys file).
upon trying to boot into recovery console from boto disk, Pc started skipping screens from boot cd, will try another disc to check boot cd not currupt.
Memtest passed with 1 pass, although in ideal situations more passes give a better indication, 1 pass generally will show some kind of error, however because nothing was found during pass one, i’m moving onto testing the HDD.
Chkdsk /r will not work, looks like data on drive is too currupted, message reported by chkdsk is : the volume appears to have one or more unrecoverable problems.
Customer is happy for me to do whatever is needed to make it legal again.
